The Sky Poker Android app is not currently available to download. However we have great reason to believe that this will be landing at some point during 2015. This is due to the recent release of the Sky Poker iPhone app, as well as the fact that Sky have recently transformed their Poker desktop platform. Sky Poker used to run on Flash software, making it very difficult to convert on to a universal mobile platform.
Sky Poker have very recently had a huge overhaul, seeing the desktop platform move to a mobile friendly HTML5 based software. This is much easier to integrate in to a mobile app and once Sky have full confidence in the dedicated iPhone app, we are certain that the Sky Poker Android app will be released. You can join Sky Poker today and benefit from all it has to offer from your desktop or laptop computer. You will then be already registered and ready to go when the Sky Poker Android app does get released. New customers can also earn themselves with up to £500 free as a sign up bonus.
While you wait for the Sky Poker Android app
Despite the fact the Sky Poker Android app is not available, you can still play poker with Sky from your mobile device. This is via video poker from Sky Vegas. Although the options are quite limited and the gameplay completely different from playing at a table, you still get a lot of enjoyment from playing it. If you are not already a Sky Vegas customer you can also get £10 free without having to make a deposit to get started. Click the link below to go straight there and claim your free £10
New Software vs old software
The new software can be seen on the left and the old on the right. You can see that the detail is much sharper on the new software, colours more vibrant with an easier usability feel to it. The new software change has not only seen improvements made to the desktop software, but also opens up a whole new opportunity for mobile Poker. We expect the Sky Poker Android app to land toward the end of 2014/early part of 2015. As soon as we have any updates we will, of course, be letting you know.
